Whilst the 1st Terminator was a dark subtle matter (and admittedly my favourite of the three), the 2nd moved onto a more mainstream easy watching platform. This film continues on from number 2 & doesn’t disappoint.
Whilst admittedly it has none of the major thought processes that I’m usually keen on. There’s something amazing about just being able to watch Arnie driving around beating people up again.
Truth be told, the only thing I have a flaw with this film, and I’m probably the only one, is the T-X. I can’t help but feel that whilst Loken (is that the proper spelling of her name?) makes a fair effort, I just can’t take her seriously as a threat to mankind. I just feel with a better choice in outfit & without hair tied back in a way which makes her look like she should be wearing a suit in an office somewhere, would have made her more of a threat. In the end of the day though, this just feels like some sort of equal rights idea. It makes me wonder what will happen in Terminator 4 (and there WILL be another). Will they try & combine the first type of Terminator with Arnie’s type & create some sort of Terminator Paverotti? Could even create a Terminator Dog or something. Despite all my negatives regarding Loken however, the same concerns were probably made about Patrick’s T1000 in Terminator 2.
Despite the occasional concerns though, this is still an entertaining film. So back to the cinema for a 2nd viewing I go. Go Arnie Go!
